“There is no such thing,” they say,
“as objective Truth; just my
truth. I see the world my way
and firmly deny your lie,
your socially constructed
and totally outdated,
colonial myth of ‘True’.”
“Yet your denial,” I say,
“needs Truth to be objective
so that I’ll accept your way
and affirm your subjective
perception of reality.
Let’s open our eyes and see
together that this holds True.”
In August of 2020 Samuel released his debut collection of poetry called “Glimpses”.
Note: This poem was written after “Glimpses” was released.
